Repurpose Skirt into an Apron

It was time she retired.  She was faded.  She was sadly stained. sniff sniff.
I've used my goodies apron for over 4 years.  I wear it every time I'm in the kitchen.  It was looking (and smelling) pretty bad.  So, it was definitely time for a new one.

I had been hoarding this skirt, and I don't really know why.  It was perfect for when I was pregnant!  So, it was perfect to repurpose into a new apron!

Using my old, faithful apron as a guide, I cut my skirt.
I had a good bit of binding left from Mam-maw's quilt that worked perfect!
And Voila!  A new apron!

and when did my hair get so dark?

Linking Up with Crazy Mom Quilts!  I love her blog!

  5. I love your apron idea. I may have to do this as well. Although I liked the other one better. I really love your colors in your kitchen as well. Your kitchen is to die for.
