Storybook Moments

My sweet Brenna has taken a real interest in photography.  She has a gift of capturing sweet moments and poses.  I love it!  She decided that she would like to make a little extra money while enjoying her hobby, so she started Storybook Moments a couple of months ago and her little business is doing well! So thankful for my sweet girl!!

Retro Shower

We were so happy to be able to go to Tabitha's shower!   They planned a retro themed shower and said to come dressed like a 50s housewife.  It was so fun!

Micah and Logan looked adorably 50s
Callie and Chloe looked pretty cute, too!!

Callie sure does love Tabitha.  She was so excited to be the "Bride's Assistant" for the day.  She had the duty of giving the bride all of the gifts.  It was so cute.

Proud Mother of the Groom and Grandmother of the Groom, and...
and Grammy of the groom. :o)

It was such a fun shower with lots of laughs and giggles.  Sure do love this sweet spirited girl!

I was so thankful Lydia, and sweet Mikey, could come with us.

Tabitha with her bridal attendants.

So thankful for this season of life and all the joy it brings!

Family Time!

I was so thankful we could go down for Tabitha's Bridal shower a couple of days early and have some family time.  It's getting fewer and farther between, so I enjoyed every moment!  There's nothing like sleeping in your Mom and Dad's house, having your Mom tuck you in, and your Dad make your coffee....you feel like a kid again.  I love you Mom and Dad!
Micah and Dad were so excited to match!

Or course, Golf cart rides are a must!

My girls love their cousin time!

Callie and Micah helped Grandpa pick up cousins from school.  They were sooo excited!

 Lots of giggles and snuggling.
 And lots of hugs, too!

Of course, I didn't capture all the memories.  I felt like the couple of days that we did have were on fast forward!  But, I enjoyed it so much.  Love you guys!

Shower Time

We are enjoying all of the festivities and preparations leading up to the wedding of our son, Joshua, to his bride, Tabitha.  What proud parents we are!

When Tabitha and Joshua registered, they picked out a lot of things from Pioneer Woman in the Flea Market line.  It is so adorable!  I love all the colors and patterns! Patrick has encouraged me to find time and energy to start quilting again.  So, when I saw the cute things they registered for, I knew a scrappy cuddle quilt would be just the thing to make for them!

I found reds, yellows and aquas to put in this quilt.

It was fun to start sewing again, especially for Joshua and Tabitha.  Our lives have been so busy with many things, wonderful things, that it's nice to take a moment and just create.
I had fun wrapping the quilt and putting on this label, "Those who cuddle under a quilt are covered by Love."
Since I am a picture taking type of gal, I also decided to make a photobook for Tabitha with many of the pictures from their courtship and engagement.  Then, I added in quotes that she has posted on Pinterest.  It was sweet to see it come together and to see their joy.

Definitely a season of change for us.  But, we sure are enjoying it!

My wood from the "Workshop"

I finally got around to making a fun craft with the wood I bought from Silas's store: The Workshop.  :o)  I made a sign perfect for our Fall mantle.  It says:

Eat Pie
Watch Football
Give Thanks

The blessing of friends

We have so enjoyed getting to know the sweet people of VSIBC.  Not too long ago we had a 50s and up fellowship at our house after evening services.  Such sweet people and such sweet fellowship!

We ate plenty, then played games.  Our 50s and up sure are competitive!!

Then, we had everyone fill out a leaf for our Thankful tree.

There were many sweet things listed.  Many had to do with a great church and church family.  I whole heartedly agree!
