Callie is 16!

 

A couple of posts ago I alluded to the fact that we were traveling on my birthday so things were a little different. Well, Callie's birthday is 4 days before mine, so we actually left on the day of her 16th birthday for our special trip. So the night before we invited our family over and had chocolate cake together to celebrate our Callie Grace!!

I can't believe she's 16, learning to drive, and is going into her junior year of high school!! She is such a talented young lady and uses those talents to serve the Lord fervently. She sings, plays the piano and violin, is learning Sign Language, works in Junior Church and loves those kiddos ...she's just amazing!! 

I am loving how close her and I have become. We laugh a lot together. Like silly-start-crying laughing. And then we have plenty of heart to hearts too. Parenting teens is really the best!!
