Decorating for Christmas

We LOVE to decorate for Christmas!  Love it!  By the night of Thanksgiving we are all so stuffed, but so in the mood to put out all of our decorations and put up our tree.  I have a rule in our house, no Christmas stuff or Christmas music until AFTER Thanksgiving.  But, once the dishes are done from lunch, and we've recuped a little, we are always ready for Christmas!
 This year Silas and Callie were able to help us even more.  (after I showed them how those ornaments actually go on the tree!)

I always like to take a pic of each of my kiddos decorating the tree.  It makes me realize how much they've grown, but that they'll always be my babies.  All of them.


 (Have you noticed Silas's new smile in some of his pictures lately? What a cutie!)


 Even Micah got into the spirit and chewed everything he could get his hands on!

Every year I get to put on the star.  I love it!  We are so excited about Christmas this year!

    What child doesn't love to see the tree go up so they can begin Christmas anticipation, lol!

    I always loved to put the star on the tree too. I guess it reminds me of the star pointing to where baby Jesus was laying in the manger.
