Callie Grace ~ 6 Months Old

Today my baby girl turned 6 months old. That's 1/2 a year! Callie Grace is such a sweet, patient, and content baby. She still gets lots of attention from all of us. She doesn't flinch anymore when Silas comes around! :o)
She has started doing so much this month! She's now very mobile. She crawls very fast to get where she's going. She has an amazing grip! She can sit up all by herself. It's so cute to see her go from tummy to sitting in under a second.

She likes to squeal. She now eats rice, barley, and oat cereal, carrots, peas and sweet potatoes. And she just started apple juice in her cup. She was sleeping very well through the night when she was younger, but for the past 2 to 3 months she changed her mind about that whole idea! It got to where she would wake up, nurse for 5 minutes, then go to sleep. I think she just wanted to cuddle. Last week she was averaging 2-3 times of that a night, and I was getting too tired. So, we decided to let her "cry it out". Such a hard thing to do! The first night she wimpered 5 minutes, fell asleep, then woke up 2 hours later and wimpered 20 minutes. The 2nd night she slept 10 hours, and last night another 10 straight! I'm so proud of my baby and I'm loving my sleep!

I love her left dimple! And she still has some pretty big cheeks, or like one of the kids from church said, "Why's she got such big jaws?" :o)

See how mobile she is! It took me, Beth and Brenna a while to get her to stay still for the pictures!

Notice the crinkly sign? She grabbed it a few times.

On a sad note, I lost again. Right before these pictures she said her first word......Da Da

Love you my baby girl! You bring us all so much joy!!

  2. I love reading your blog Kami. Your baby is so cute. I like seeing how she has grown each month. I have a few more beautiful Spring/Summer dresses for her from Andrea that are 12-18 months. I think they will be about the same size soon! :)
