Summer is so beautiful here in Quebec. I have a gorgeous view from my kitchen window. But, from what I've heard, that view is about to drastically change. I thought I'd post a few pictures along the way of my view. That got me thinking about "my view" from my kitchen window. I was reading this morning in Proverbs. (Proverbs 7: 2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.) Patrick and I talked this morning about exactly what does "the apple of thine eye" mean? The apple refers to the center of your eye...the pupil. I need to keep my eyes fixed on the Lord and living for Him. There's another verse that says "Keep me Jesus as the apple of thine eye" (The Sommerdorf's sing a song with this in it, and I love it!) It's sometimes easy to lose focus. My view gets obscured and I think about all the things I need to accomplish, stuff I want to do, places I want to go.......I, I, I. My view, my eyes, need to be focused on the Lord and doing his will. The really cool part about that, is when we do the Lord's will and what is pleasing to Him, He gives us joy unspeakable, peace that passes understanding, and so many blessings. That's what I want! Jesus, Keep my eyes fixed on you!
