"Joseph" Family Fun Night

Our preparation for our Family Fun Night actually began Monday night. We decided for our Personal daily devotions we would all read through the life of Joseph for the week. Then, everyone worked on a visual project about Joseph to show on Family Fun Night. Everyone put a lot of thought and work on their projects and it was so exciting to see what they came up with. Here is Joshua's project. He showed us a slide show on the life of Joseph. He took pictures of scenes he built with legos and put them on the wii. He used the letters in Joseph's name to tell about strong character traits in his life.Here's what the different frames were (I put in parenthesis the scenes he built with legos.
J- Just (Joseph running from Potiphar's Wife
O-Obedient (Running from Potiphar's wife again, different view)
S- Sagacious which means to be wise and discreet (Interpreting dreams and selling food)
E-Effective (Pointing the way to Goshen)
P-Patient (waiting in Prison)
H-Happy (Joseph's happy face)

Here's Brenna's. She made a diorama of scenes from Joseph's life including his bloody coat and falling into the pit. It looked so good and very detailed. Even Silas liked how it tasted!

Patrick drew 2 pictures of the dreams that the Baker and Butler had.

This is mine and Beth's Project. I sewed a coat of many colors and Beth made a poster welcoming people to Egypt during the famine.

It was so good to read the story of Joseph and learn "new" things that sort of popped out at us. Josh thought it was neat that Joseph used an interpretor to speak to his brothers. I noticed how Joseph's brothers still had the guilt of what they did to their brother when they came to buy food. Sin will take you further than you want to go, cost you more than you want to pay and keep you longer than you want to stay. It's amazing how you read a story over and over in the Bible and God shows you something new everytime.

Josh loves Honey-Mustard, so he asked if we could have chicken nuggets and homemade honey mustard for our special meal.

Then, we had ice-cream sundaes with all the toppings. What a fun Family Fun NIght!
