2026 "I Love You" Banquet
Oh this family of mine! I sure do love them and I love the times we get to have all together. It is so special. Our "I love you" Banquet is one of those times for sure. We have been doing this for 9 years now and it has become one of our favorite traditions!
Victory drew Micah's name.
She made him a Beglari. It's basically a really cool fidget toy that you learn tricks with. Micah has gotten quite good at it too!
Freedom drew Silas and made him Whoopie Pies. The whole bag was eaten within a couple of days and he loved them!!
Liberty drew my name and has planned a special tea party for the two of us in my Sparkly Garden. So excited for that!!
Not sure what these two are doing in this picture, but they just make me laugh. :o)
Callie painted and embroidered a turtle bag for Freedom.
Silas cricuted a vinyl bumper sticker of Sandy Creek Stirrings (Joshua's podcast) for Josh.
Brenna embroidered a sweatshirt for Callie. She has worn it a bunch this week and has had several compliments on it. It's beautiful!!
Josh shined Patrick's shoes and gave him a coupon for 5 Friday night drop offs of his shoes to be shined by the next day. In case you don't know, Josh can shine shoes like a pro!!
AJ wrote Beth a story. The two of them share joy in stories with big, complicated words. Beth said it was very good. I will have to read it on a day when I can devote my brain to it. :o)
I made Victory a granny square cardigan. It was so fun making the little hearts for her sweater.
Patrick made AJ a charcuterie board. He oiled it for days!
Brenna made homemade french bread and we had a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dip to go with it.
Tabitha made a chili mango salad. I love the kick it had to it!
A few weeks beforehand we exchange names. The rule is that you have to make (not buy) a gift for the person's name you draw. I love how everyone is so creative to show the other person that they are special and valued.
