We're hooked!

It was finally time for our camping trip.  We were so excited!  We had forgotten how much work it would take to get everything prepared.  We loaded up our little box trailer with everything we thought we would need, then we headed 4 hours north to Indian Springs State Park in Georgia.  It was fabulous!!!

Going on a Monday meant that we had many things all to ourselves, like doing the putt-putt course.

We were so excited to see the leaves had changed into beautiful reds, yellows and oranges.  This is something we don't see a whole lot of in North Central Florida!

The tent that was given to us was perfect!  It fit all 6 of us pretty cozily...that's a nice way of saying we were slightly squooshed, but it was great!

The first night it was in the lower 40s.  Yikes!  That's pretty cold for us Floridians!!

The next day we got up bright and early to go fishing.  The lake was gorgeous!!  And we caught fish!

The park was a beautiful place to explore.

Early morning by the campfire for coffee and devotions, I loved it!!

Beth enjoyed reading by the water.

And the boys enjoyed exploring in the creek and climbing on the rocks.

We played games...
then fished some more.

We cooked a bunch over the fire.  That took some effort!  But I loved it!

We found a copperhead by the creek eating a catfish.

And, of course, you have to have S'mores by the campfire!

It was a wonderful trip and we can't wait to go again!
