Book Signing on the calendar!

 Wow! My daughter is really an author! It has been amazing to see her book have such an impact on others! She's heard of teenagers, ladies and men as well, enjoy her book.  There have been believers and unbelievers read and she has had such a great response!

The King's Heart in the Lord's Hands is available on Amazon. And yesterday her new book Redeeming Louise became available as well!

We've been in contact with our local library and they are letting us hold a book signing in their meeting room. If any of my readers happen to be in the area I would love for you to attend! It will be Saturday, December 9th, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the High Springs Library. There will be refreshments, a meet and greet with Elisabeth, a giveaway to enter, and just a really great time. She will also have both books available for purchase and of course she will be willing to sign them 🙂 🙂 I am so proud of my Beth!

A Wonderful Thanksgiving

 What a great Thanksgiving we had!

Callie and I always love to set up the table and decorate it.

My pilgrim collection is growing! And I love it.

Our family starts arriving a little bit before noon and we get all the food lined up on our snacker.

There was so. much. Food!

Every year I remind everyone to eat slow! All that work and the food is down in 20 minutes? We try to slow down and go around the table and tell what we're thankful for. We had scripture at each of the guys place for them to read. 

I love this time of year where family gathers around the table and we reflect on how good how God has been to us!

He is worthy to be praised!  And to be Thanked!

Friends and Sunflower Patches

I'm thankful for friends.  God knew just what I needed when He sent us here.  He has given me many good friends that are such an encouragment to me!  My friend Rose and I love sunflowers.  We went to another patch a couple of years ago.  We picked sunflowers and took pictures and had fun.  Then, she found another patch in our area.  It was fun to explore and pick flowers.  I had such a good time!

Her Mom, Mrs Monique came too.  She is a blessing to me!  To have a seasoned Pastor's wife that's now a widow to be in our church is a treasure to me.  She has helped me and counseled me in many ways and I'm so thankful!

It was a beautiful day, with wonderful friends.

But, now I think I need one of these:

 

The hearts of young people

Joshua and Tabitha lead the teens in our church.  They do such a good job and really have their hearts.  We have a great group of young people.  Recently there was a youth conference held about 3 hours away.  Josh and Tabitha weren't able to take our teens, so my hubby and I volunteered.  We had so much fun with them!!

Part of the fun is the journey and we had a great time all along the way!  So much laughter!

The conference was great!!  Bro Ploughman was the preacher for the night and he preached on Knowing God's Perfect Will For You.  It was so good and gave our teens a lot to think about in their spiritual walk.  I love how God feeds us exactly what we need!

 I'm thankful for the tender heart of these precious young people.  They are a blessing and have set a good example for others.  Even their Pastor and Pastor's Wife.

There's no greater joy than to serve Jesus!

Camping at Home

I mentioned that we are now hooked on camping.  We had such a great time!  I thought it would be fun to do a couple more campouts, in our front yard. :)

The first was with Liberty, Freedom and Victory.  They were so excited to campout!  We started the fire and roasted marshmellows.  We got very sticky and it was so fun!

We talked tons and sang campfire songs.  

We read books in the tent. We had a coldsnap that night and it dipped into the 40s.  That's a pretty big deal around here!  It was so fun and we made some good memories.

Then we had some of the teens over for a girls night.  We roasted hot dogs, made s'mores, sang around the campfire, played games.  It was so fun, too!  The weather has turned a little cooler and it was a great night!!

 

Needing Help

Our Peaches is an amazing dog.  She really does do a lot for our little farm.  She is not only on watch all through the day, but through the night as well.  If we are on a walk, she is on a walk.  If we have a visitor, she is the first to greet them. :)  If the kids are outside playing, she is too.  She's just a great dog for us!

She also stays busy at night.  There are many coyotes in our area.  It's an eerie sound to hear them in their pack at night.  And Peaches is on full alert when they are near, especially when close to the goat pen.

As we've watched her keep up her duties, we realize she needs help.  And we thought it would be good for her to have help she could train.

He's half lab, half great pyrenees.

He's pretty cool and a great puppy!

He's definitely still a puppy though, with lots of energy.

 We are working at training him and Peaches is helping us too.  

A Very Happy 80th

We were so happy that all of us could go down and surprise my Dad for his 80th birthday!

My Mom worked so hard preparing, planning and cooking to make this party special for him. And it was!

I love how they love each other. They are such a good example of a faithful loving marriage. 

My Dad said he was surprised, but I wonder. 😉

It was a wonderful party and I'm so glad we could go!

 

Grandbaby #6 is on the way!

I've been holding in some news for a couple of weeks and I'm so excited to share!!!

Grandbaby #6 is due  mid June!  Yay!!

I'm so happy for Brenna and AJ,

 and for this sweet big brother to be.

Okay, now I'm ready!

 I had fun adding a little bit of orange to my mantle today! I feel like now I'm ready to enjoy this last week of fall and all the fun things with it!
