Cake Classes for the Girls

Elisabeth and Brenna have been wanting to learn how to decorate cakes. They love looking up cake blogs and sites with me and have been creating lots of cake designs on paper. They've even come up with a name for their bakery, Biz E.B. Bakery (E for Elisabeth and B for Brenna). About a month and a half ago they got their first order. Their Daddy ordered a cake for our weight contest. One cake for the winner and one for the loser. These are the cakes they made and they turned out so cute! Then, they had a second order from a football fanatic, which also happens to be their Daddy. He wanted a cake to kickoff the football preseason. The girls planned and planned and decided to do a football field design. It turned out so cute, too! Well, we've been trying to learn techniques by watching videos online. But, I wanted the girls to have someone to teach them. It's amazing how God gives you the desires of your heart and puts people in your path.

We've enjoyed the fellowship with The Burdetts. They are another missionary family here that are learning french. Joanna brought a cake to church and the girls loved it! It was so beautiful and tasted so good, too. I asked Joanna if she could give the girls some cake lessons and she graciously said yes!
Saturday Joanna was going to make a cake for the Roy's Anniversary. She asked the girls if they would like to come and watch. She had templates set up for them and they practiced with tips and bags.
They did such a good job and learned so much!

They practiced and practiced and got better and better.

And the cake that Joanna made turned out beautiful and tasted delicious!

Now, the girls are dreaming of cakes and designing so many! And they also have another order that they are thrilled about!

  1. I'm amazed! Elizabeth and Brenna have done an outstanding job with their cakes so far. I just know they will get better and better! I love the little Moo cake! LOL It's just like the Lord to send along a teacher for them, too - what a blessing! :)
