Brenna and AJ decided not to do a "first look." They wanted the first time for them to see each other to be when Brenna walked down the aisle. So, it was pretty tricky how to get photos beforehand and to make sure they didn't see each other. AJ's Dad's office is a couple of doors down from the church, so he and his guys got ready there. They came to the church when we gave him the all clear and we had Brenna back in the nursery with orders to stay put!
It was a couple of months before this that AJ asked if he could meet up with Patrick and I for lunch. We knew what was coming. As we sat there at Bev's making small talk Patrick finally looked at AJ and said, "Okay, tell us why we're meeting for lunch just the three of us. " AJ looked at us both and said, "I want to....no, I need to marry Brenna." You could see the passion in his eyes for our girl. Patrick and I had already talked plenty and prayed plenty. We gave him the go ahead to ask Brenna for her hand in marriage. We've always prayed for someone that would love God passionately, as well as love Brenna passionately. God fully answered and we were so excited to be getting a wonderful, Godly son-in-law!
When I told AJ's mom to call AJ and his guys to come on over to the church, within moments AJ pulled in the parking lot with several huge, loud trucks behind him. For some reason that just made me smile. We live in rural America with hard working guys with loud trucks. :o) Pretty cool!
I just love groomsmen photos. It's so fun to see the guys interact together and act crazy.
AJ said he really wasn't nervous that day. Seeing these pictures, I can see why. These guys just had a great time together!
AJ looks great and it looks like he also had a fantastic group of groomsmen to help him on his special day.
