In the midst

We are in the midst of our Winter Revival at VSIBC.  Tonight is night 3 and it has been so good!  I can't wait until church tonight!  It has been quite busy the past few days.  We were able to pick up Brenna's college friend, Morgan.  She is spending the week with us.  What a blessing and help she is!  As my husband told her last night, "You just fit right in!" And she does.  She always puts a smile on  my face.  Praise the Lord for Godly friends for my kiddos. I'm so glad she could be here for Revival!

We have also been feeding the Sommerdorfs (our Evangelist for the week) and I love having servants of the Lord in my home.  It's priceless.  My kids get to learn to serve.  My kids get to learn to glean from Godly men and women as they share their testimony, their day and their experiences.  Let me encourage you, if you at all can, have preachers and missionaries in your home.  The blessings are beyond measure!

We are all enjoying the fellowship, and also the food....as you can see Liberty eyeing the yummy cookie platter!

  1. Lutherans (me) do not believe in revivals as their baptism covers it or something like that. Could Lutherans do with a good revival anyway? Yes! Revive Us Again is a favorite of mine.

    1. Oh Nancy I love the hymn "Revive Us Again" too! I think we even opened our revival with it. For us, Revival is simply a time of drawing closer to the Lord. We have extra services throughout the week and the preaching of the cross is power for the believer as it says in 1 Corinthians 1:18. Of course coming to church more times in the week doesn't change our salvation, it simply draws us closer to the Lord as we listen to the preacher bring wisdom from God's Word. As the dictionary puts it, revival is "an instance of something becoming popular, important or active again." That's definitely been happening for me! The preaching has been excellent!

    2. We all need a revival no matter our denomination! Is your revival online? If so I may have to watch it. Don't tell my pastor!

Blessings to you and your family!

We link up all the services here that are live streamed. So you'll find the beginning with the special music to all the preaching. Enjoy!
